NH police chief waives arraignment

(MyFoxBoston.com) – A New Hampshire police chief has waived his right to an arraignment.

Danville Police Chief Wade Parsons is charged with improperly storing his gun.

In March, officials say Parsons allegedly left his gun on top of a safe at his home on Caramel Drive. When he left the house, police say his girlfriend's 15-year-old son, Jacob Carver, found the gun and committed suicide.

Parsons could face a $1,000 fine. His pre-trial hearing is set for Aug. 8.
