NH man charged in crash that killed a Minnesota woman

ROLLINSFORD, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire State Police say a motorist in a two-vehicle crash on Route 4 in Rollinsford that took the life of a Minnesota woman has been arrested in her death.

Police say the motorist's vehicle struck the other car about 4:30 p.m. Saturday and the motorist fled.

Matthew Tsopas, 43, of Somersworth, N.H., was located later and taken to a hospital in Dover, where he was charged with negligent homicide, felony driving under the influence of alcohol and felony conduct after an accident.

The driver of that vehicle, 30-year-old Brian Preiss, also of St. Paul, was treated at the hospital then moved to a hospital in Massachusetts. Police described his injuries as serious.

Police said the passenger in the other vehicle, 30-year-old Leah Fonda, of St. Paul, Minn., was killed.
