NH man allegedly assaulted women with developmental disabilities

NASHUA, N.H. — A 72-year-old New Hampshire man was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman with developmental disabilities.

Police said the Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services contacted them on Dec. 31 with allegations that Charles Bureau had assaulted a 27-year-old woman.

The woman was being cared for at Independent Services Network on Clinton Drive, a human services provider for people with developmental disabilities. Bureau was employed there as a direct support professional.

Following an investigation, police arrested Bureau for two counts of misdemeanor sexual assault. He was released on $10,000 personal recognizance and will be in court March 2.
