NOTTINGHAM, N.H. — A New Hampshire state representative has been charged with solicitation of a minor, along with drug possession charges.

Nottingham Police officers and New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force searched Kyle Tasker's home Tuesday on Smoke Street in Nottingham. Police said they searched his home based on an investigation into the illegal use of computers and possession of controlled drugs.

After the search, Tasker was charged with one count of certain uses of computer services prohibited, which involves the solicitation of a minor. He's also facing three counts of possession of controlled drugs with intent to distribute.

Tasker is a third term state representative for Candia, Deerfield and Nottingham. He sits on the Committee on Children and Family Law, which considers all matters relating to children and youth, including their rights and protection.

Tasker is currently being held on $250,000 cash bail. Police said the investigation is active and ongoing.
