KINGSTON, N.H. (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - A boating accident that occurred on a pond in New Hampshire on Sunday has resulted in the death of a 54-year-old man.
New Hampshire State Police and Marine Patrol responded to Country Pond in Kingston around 11:27 p.m. on Saturday for boating crash involving two vessels.
Lawrence Buswell, 51, was operating a 20 foot inboard powerboat when he collided with Eric Eskeland who was operating a 17 foot powerboat. Buswell was the sole occupant of his vessel while Eskeland was traveling with five adult passengers.
Eskeland was pronounced dead at the scene.
Buswell was uninjured in the crash; however, the passengers on Eskeland's boat were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The five other adult passengers are 46-year-old Loretta Garrett, of Bradford, Mass.; 33-year-old Chad Descoteaux, of Hudson, N.H.; 45-year-old Scott Garrett, of Brandford, Mass.; 55-year-old Debra Eskeland, of Merrimack, N.H.; and 32-year-old Michael Sawyer, of Nashua, N.H.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation.
