NH bank robbery suspect possibly injured in botched attempt

SALEM, N.H. (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Police in New Hampshire are searching for a male suspect who reportedly attempted to rob a bank inside a Salem supermarket.

Salem Police responded to the Citizens Bank inside a Shaw's at 265 S. Broadway at approximately 2:07 p.m. on Monday.

The suspect passed a note stating he had a bomb and a hostage and then demanded money.

While fleeing the bank, the dye pack exploded, and the suspect dropped the money.

The suspect is described as a white male.  At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a black shirt, glasses and a hat.

It is possible the suspect sought medical treatment for hand injuries he may have received when the dye pack exploded.
