NASHUA, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) - Officials in New Hampshire have released new details on a murder-suicide that happened in Nashua over the weekend. New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph Foster says Meg Halley, 55, died of multiple stab wounds. They say Halley's long-time boyfriend Allen Rediker killed her before killing himself.
Police say Rediker, 58, stabbed Halley as the two walked along the Baldwin Street Bridge late Saturday night. They say he then walked to the home the two shared and shot himself in the head.
Police said based on their investigation, Halley and Rediker were out drinking with friends in downtown Nashua Saturday night. Sometime after 10 p.m. the two left the group and started to walk home. Police say they started to argue during the walk. That argument ended when police say Rediker pulled out a knife and stabbed Halley on the bridge.
Before he shot himself in his home, Rediker engaged in a standoff with the police. Police said they would not release any other details on the incident until their investigation was complete.
