New Hampshire Ice Castles bring winter wonderland to life

LINCOLN, NH — The glistening ice castles in New Hampshire are open for the season, bringing fairy tales to life.

Hundreds of thousands of tiny icicles are put together by professionals to create the massive ice castles, which include thrones, towers, fountains and slides.

The first ice castle was built in Utah, and since then, the concept has led to several across the country.

Each castles weighs about 25,000,000 pounds and the creators have put LED lights inside, to create magical lights shining from within.

For those wanting to visit, tickets are required and boots highly recommended. The Ice Castle is located off I-93 in Lincoln, New Hampshire.
