Needham 22-year-old dies after snowboarding accident in Stowe, police say

STOWE, Vt. — A snowboarder from Needham has died after he went missing in Stowe, Vermont, according to local police.

Brett Cohen, 22, was reported missing to ski patrol about 3:30 p.m. Monday while he was out snowboarding. Several agencies were called in to help search for him.

Police say he was found in a wooded area off the ski trail about 11:30 p.m. Monday night. He was about 60 feet into the woods, according to police.

He was taken to University of Vermont Medical Center where he was pronounced dead Tuesday morning.

Police say they are investigating the incident, but note it appears accidental.
