NATICK, Mass. — A man from Natick has pleaded guilty in federal court in Boston to child pornography charges.
Joshua Bemis, 28, pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of possession of child pornography and one count of receipt of child pornography following his arrest in November.
Police in the United Kingdom alerted authorities in the United States about a person who had posted child pornography on a photo sharing website. The IP address was traced to the home in Natick where Bemis lives.
Federal authorities executed a search warrant at the home and seized a laptop computer and separate hard drive, both of which they said contained numerous videos of children, including some that showed children as young as seven-years-old being raped.
Bemis will be sentenced on January 8. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years and up to 40 years in prison, a minimum of five years and up to a lifetime of supervised release and a $250,000 fine.
