BOSTON — The MBTA has announced a ski train bringing winter sports enthusiasts from Boston to Wachusett Mountain.
The train runs on Saturday and Sunday, leaving North Station at 8:35 a.m. and arriving at Wachusett Station just after 10 a.m. From there, a free shuttle is provided to the mountain.
For the return trip, the train departs at 6:10 p.m. arriving in Boston just after 7:30 p.m.
According to the MBTA, the train is specially equipped with ski and snowboard racks. It will cost $23 for a roundtrip ticket, but children under the age of 12 ride free.
