Arrest made after 19-year-old pulls gun during road race incident

BOSTON — Saturday morning around 2:30 a.m. officers responded to the area of Story Street and G Street in South Boston for a road rage incident involving a person with a gun.

According to police, the suspect is identified as Aidan Fittz, 19-years-old, of Charlestown. Officers said Fittz allegedly pulled out a firearm after the victim honked his horn at the vehicle for driving up W 2nd Street the wrong way.

Officers located Fittz’s vehicle at Story street and G street where they conducted a traffic stop. Officers said they recovered a loaded Springfield Armory XD9 sub-compact with one round in the chamber and nine rounds in the magazine.

Fittz was placed under arrest and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Class B, Drugs, police said. 

He is expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court.
