BOSTON — A Rhode Island man has been sentenced to 84 months in federal prison for sex trafficking charges.
Michael Sabatino, 26, worked with two other men to prosstitute a 16-year-old girl in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Sabatino pleaded guilty in 2015 to conspiracy to sex traffic a child and sex trafficking a child, He was sentenced Tuesday in federal court to serve an addition five years of supervised release upon completion of the 84-month sentence.
Sabatino was tracked down by investigators who found pictures of the 16-year-old posted to Backpage.com offering her for prostitution.
Police say the girl was driven to various hotels and homes in Rhode Island and Massachusetts for prostitution.
