Mass. man charged for alleged truck attack at N.J. Planned Parenthood

LOWELL, Mass. – A Massachusetts man has been charged after allegedly driving a stolen truck into a Planned Parenthood building in New Jersey on purpose.

On Valentine’s Day, Marckles Alcius allegedly stole a bakery deliver truck and crashed into the reproductive health clinic in East Orange, New Jersey.

Police said three people, including one worker and a pregnant woman, were injured in the crash. All three have since been released from the hospital after being treated for minor injuries.

Alcius’ last known address is in Lowell. He’s charged with attempting to cause widespread injury or damage, six counts of aggravated assault, two weapons offenses for using the truck as a weapon and theft of a motor vehicle.

In court Friday, he pleaded not guilty. He’s being held pending a court hearing on Feb. 21.
