MASHPEE, Mass. — A Mashpee elementary school was closed for a second day in a row on Wednesday for high levels of carbon monoxide.
On Tuesday morning, two cafeteria workers at the Quashnet School were sent to the hospital with carbon monoxide poisoning.
Investigators said a heater near the school's kitchen malfunctioned. Students were evacuated and the school was ventilated.
But Wednesday morning, the school was evacuated again because of another potential leak.
Students were sent home and not allowed in the building.
