Marlborough-based credit union says hundreds of debit cards were compromised

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. — Marlborough-based St. Mary's Credit Union discovered early Thursday morning that a few hundred customers had their debit cards compromised, a company spokesperson confirmed to Boston 25 News.

The spokesperson said all impacted cards will be replaced and no customers will suffer any type of loss.

According to the spokesperson, the exact cause of the breach remains under investigation, but business at the bank has returned to normal.

St. Mary's Credit Union has branches in Framingham, Hudson, Marlborough, Northborough and Westborough.

According to the credit union's website, several branches will have extended hours Thursday to issue new debit cards only. The branch on Northboro Road in Marlborough and the Westborough branches will remain open until 6 p.m. The Hudson and Northborough branches will remain open until 7 p.m.

The branches will not be able to do transactions after 5 p.m.
