Manchester woman accused after pointing loaded gun at person

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester Police arrested a woman for allegedly pulling a loaded Smith and Wesson .380 at another woman at around 7:50 p.m on Tuesday.

Officers Brian Fleming and Michael DeJoy responded to a call at 102 Conant St. involving a firearm and arrested Melissa Cerullo, 36, of Manchester, NH.

The 31-year-old victim, who was visiting a friend in the building, had pulled into the driveway behind Cerullo's vehicle, prompting Cerullo to exit her vehicle and engage in an argument before pulling out her gun, according to police.

Cerullo claims the woman spat on her, which police say caused her to then point her fully loaded handgun at the victim. The two women appear to have known each other prior to the episode.

A resident from the first floor of the building heard the victim screaming and ran outside only to see a red laser pointer on the victim's chest as Cerullo had the gun aimed at her. Both parties were separated until Manchester PD arrived on the scene.

Police say the handgun, which had a laser sight attached to it, was found inside Cerullo's car.

Cerullo was arrested and charged with reckless conduct (F) and was unable to post her $5,000 cash/surety bail. She is set to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on Wednesday, April 19, 2017.
