QUINCY, Mass. — An investigation is underway after a man was shot during a drug deal outside an apartment complex in Quincy early Friday morning, according to police.

Few details about the shooting have been released, but they said the incident was reported outside the Faxon Common apartment complex on Southern Artery just after 3 a.m.

"It was like, 'Boom, boom boom,' and then one more," witness John Nee said. "So it only lasted, like, 10 seconds."

A Boston 25 News Crew at the scene reported seeing a car surround by officers with police tape up, but the vehicle has since been removed from the scene.

The unidentified 34-year-old victim was shot twice in the leg and was taken to a hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

No other information has been released.
