Man killed after motorcycle crashes in Canton

CANTON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A man died Monday after his motorcycle crashed on the highway.

The crash happened at around 3:30 p.m. on I-93 southbound, just before Exit 2 in Canton. According to State Police, initial reports state that the driver, a 33-year-old man from Ashland, lost control of his 2007 Yamaha motorcycle and crashed.

He was transported to Boston Medical Center where he was pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the crash.

Police closed the left two lanes of the highway to clear the scene and investigate. The lanes remained closed as of Monday evening.
