SHARON, Mass. — A body found in a burning car in Sharon early Monday morning was found to have several gunshot wounds, according to police.
Shortly after 1 a.m., Sharon police and firefighters responded to a car fire near the Canton town line and found “an apparently adult male” in the burned car.
Officials say the man has not been identified yet, but the Norfolk Count District Attorney’s Office is working to investigate the shooting.
The car was a rental, but was rented by someone who police contacted. They have not released further information regarding that.
Anyone who may have information is asked to call Sharon PD at 781-784-1587 or State Police at 781-830-4990.
