Man critically injured after being stabbed in Copley Square

BOSTON — Police say one man was critically injured in a stabbing during a fight in Boston.

Authorities say the stabbing happened around 7:25 p.m. Thursday outside a convenience store in Copley Square.

The victim was slashed in the neck, and afterward he ran across a street and collapsed on a park bench.

The man has been hospitalized for treatment, and he is expected to survive. Police say the man is believed to be in his late 40s.

It is unclear what lead to the fight. Police have made no arrests as of Thursday night.

An investigation is ongoing.
