LYNN, Mass. — The Lynn community is concerned after three shootings in 48 hours and no answers or arrests.
After a fatal shooting Friday night that killed 29-year-old Hanky Betancourt, there were two more shootings Saturday night.
One happened near Manny's Pizza on Goodrich Street, the other just a few blocks away on Hanover Street.
Police have not yet said if any of the shootings are connected, but people in Lynn are certainly on edge after shots were heard throughout the community -- some even literally heard them.
"I just honestly just heard like four loud bangs and I wasn't sure if they were gunshots or not. I thought it was honestly just fireworks until after and I connected it and was like, no those were definitely gunshots," Manny's Pizza employee Courtney Cook told FOX25.
Employees say police put down some evidence markers, took photos, then moved further up the street within about 30 minutes and that's when the second shooting happened on Hanover.
At least one person was taken to the hospital, but police have not said how many people were shot, transported, or whether they were looking for any suspects.
