LOWELL, Mass. — A woman and her dog were injured after a pit bull attack in Lowell, police say.
The unleashed pit bull went into the Loring Street home's backyard and attacked the woman's dog.
The woman and the pit bull's owner tried to separate the dogs, and the woman was then bitten by the pit bull as well, according to Lowell Police Captain Paul Laferriere.
The pit bull and its owner left the home before being found later on, while the woman and the other dog needed medical attention after the attack.
