PEABODY, Mass. — A woman has been taken to the hospital after a tire iron flew through her windshield while she was driving down a Massachusetts highway.
According to Massachusetts State Police, troopers were called to a crash on 95 North near Exit 66 in Peabody around noon.
State police say a tire iron went through the windshield before she crashed.
A metal object about the size of a household screw also struck the woman, police say.
The woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to be okay.
The right travel lane was closed for around an hour before reopening around 12:50 p.m.
The origin of the tire iron and debris is unknown at this time.
