Woman dies one week after being struck by motor vehicle at Lawrence intersection, DA says

LAWRENCE, Mass. — A woman has died of her injuries after she and another pedestrian were struck by a motor vehicle in Lawrence last week, Essex County District Attorney Paul Tucker said Tuesday.

Silvana Seabra, 64, of Methuen was pronounced dead at Boston Medical Center on Monday, Tucker said in a statement. She was struck by a van about 2:43 p.m. on April 3 at the intersection of Lawrence and Erving streets.

A man who was also struck suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at Lawrence General Hospital.

The name of the van driver is being withheld pending the completion of an investigation by the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and detectives from the Lawrence Police Department, Tucker said.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
