WALTHAM, Mass. — The Waltham Police Department is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case that is frustrating the entire city.

Since Nov. 10, 11 men have been randomly attacked in Waltham.

All of the men were attacked from behind and struck in the head with a blunt object.

Victims have told police the suspect hid his face behind a mask or a tightly drawn hoodie.

Waltham Police have released video surveillance of a suspect, but others could be involved.

At a Tuesday morning press briefing, city officials announced a $5,000 reward that leads to an arrest in the case.

“These incidents aren’t occurring in a vacuum. The suspect, or suspects, are sharing the information with people they are close to. So, we think, at the very least, that those close to them would be aware of it,” said Waltham Police Chief Keith McPherson.

Waltham Police Detective Sgt. Steve McCarthy said the case is a top priority.

“There is definitely a fear factor in our city right now. We’ve never experienced anything like this. I’d be lying to you if said I’m not losing sleep at night,” McCarthy said.

Waltham Police revealed they have not yet identified any suspects, but they said they have persons of interest in the case.
