Video shows Mass. State Police ‘Operation Jack-O-Lantern’ targeting criminal conduct in Lawrence

LAWRENCE, Mass. — Massachusetts State Police released video of “Operation Jack-O-Lantern,” which targeted a variety of crimes, including reckless and dangerous operation of motorbikes on city streets.

Last week multiple state police units joined with Lawrence Police Department, Environmental Police and Essex County Sheriff’s Department for Operation Jack-O-Lantern, which targeted a wide range of criminal conduct in Lawrence, including narcotics sales, gang activity, violent offenders wanted on warrants, and motor vehicle infractions, including the reckless and dangerous operation of motorbikes and off-road vehicles on city streets.

The joint operation resulted in 46 arrests, issuance of criminal summons to eight other people, seizure of three dirt bikes, recovery of two stolen motor vehicles, and and issuance of 314 citations for motor vehicle violations, according to police.
