UPDATE: Teenager arrested in connection with Everett Warehouse Fire

EVERETT, Mass. — A teenager has been arrested in connection with a warehouse fire in Everett.

Everett police announced Tuesday they arrested 18-year-old Michael Mambrino in connection with the January 23rd fire.

He is facing charges of burning a building and causing injury to a firefighter.

The warehouse was set to be demolished before being turned into residential units, according to the deputy fire chief. Because it was vacant, it had no working alarms and no power to the building.

Investigators say the fire destroyed the warehouse and caused major damage to a nearby garage. A firefighter was also injured while fighting flames.

The investigation was jointly led by the Everett Fire and Police Departments, and the State Police Fire & Explosion Investiation Unit assigned to the State Police Fire Marshal’s office.
