PEMBROKE, Mass. — Four people involved in a two-car crash on Route 139 on Sunday morning were brought to area hospitals with serious and life-threatening injuries. The driver and sole person in the truck was arrested for OUI.
The crash happened just before 7 a.m. on Route 139 at Church and Oak Street, according to the Pembroke Police Department. Fire personnel from Hanover and Marshfield also responded.
Goodsell is charged with OUI liquor causing serious injury, possession of open alcohol container in a motor vehicle, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, speeding, failure to stop or yield at a signal, and improper passing.
Three people in one car were brought to South Shore Hospital and two of them were later transferred to a Boston-area hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to Pembroke Police. The Jaws of Life were used to extricate one person.
Gregory Goodsell, 31, of Marshfield, was arrested on scene and brought to South Shore Hospital for evaluation.
Because of the seriousness of the crash, the area was closed to traffic for roughly three hours while officials investigated.
Massachusetts State Police, Pembroke Police and the Plymouth County DA’s Office are investigating the crash.
