BOSTON, Mass. — A Hyde Park man was arrested after a robbery at Santander Bank on Boylston Street Monday afternoon.
Boston Police say 38-year-old Andrade Jamall of Hyde Park passed a note to the bank teller at about 12:16 p.m. and fled with an undisclosed amount of money. Officers immediately described the suspect to the responding agencies.
A short time later, members of the MBTA Transit Police stopped a man matching the description of Jamall at the Back Bay MBTA Station. Officers recovered cash and other evidence from both Jamall and the surrounding area. The suspect had a small bag of heroin on him.
He will appear in Boston Municipal Court and is facing charges for unarmed robbery and possession of class A drug.
The FBI Violent Crime Task Force also responded to the scene.
