Severe thunderstorm warning dropped for parts of N.H., much of Mass. under watch

BOSTON — A severe thunderstorm warning has been dropped Friday evening after being issued for parts of New Hampshire.

Most parts of Massachusetts is under severe thunderstorm watch throughout the evening, according to the National Weather Service.

Wind speeds up to 60 miles per hour and hail the size of quarters are possible, the NWS says.

Sullivan County is also under a flash flood warning until 11:30 p.m.

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for much of Massachusetts on Friday.

The watch is in effect for Berkshire, Essex, Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire, Middlesex, Suffolk, and Worcester counties until 8 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

There is a risk for 60 mph wind gusts and large hail with the storms.
