Salisbury woman accused of murdering boyfriend with antifreeze chemicals held without bail

SALEM, Mass — A Salisbury woman accused of murdering her boyfriend by serving him antifreeze chemicals was held without bail following her arraignment in Superior Court Thursday.

Judy Church, 64, was previously indicted on first-degree murder charges in Salem Superior Court in December, according to Essex County District Attorney Paul Tucker. Prosecutors allege Church served her boyfriend ethylene glycol, a toxic chemical used in antifreeze.

Church called an ambulance for her boyfriend, Leroy Fowler, at approximately 8 p.m. on November 11.

Church is next scheduled to appear in court on March 21.
