A man is dead following an hours-long standoff with police in New Hampshire on Tuesday.
Police first took to social media asking people to stay away from the area of West Street and Ashuelot Street in Keene around 6:30 p.m.
The man was shot and killed following the extended standoff with police, according to the New Hampshire Attorney General’s office.
According to the AG, there is no known threat to the public.
The names of the officers involved in the incident are being withheld pending the conclusion of a formal interview.
