A road rage incident on the North Shore is believed to have spilled over to a Lynn car wash on Friday.

Massachusetts State Police responded to Sunny’s Carwash on Route 1 around 9:30 a.m. for a reported assault.

Police say the alleged roadway incident began on the Lynnway at Harding Street in Lynn before the involved parties pulled into the car wash.

Lynn firefighters and medical personnel also responded to the car wash to treat a victim.

People who live in Lynn say they see aggressive drivers who speed, honk their horns, and yell out the window at others. However, they’ve never seen such aggressive behavior like what happened Friday morning.

“Oh my God that’s insane. Wow. That is awful,” Lynn resident, Casey said while watching the video. “That right there is disgusting. I’ve never seen anything like that.”

“I haven’t seen actual people getting out like that it’s just been people driving by and beeping. That’s scarier and aggressive, Lynn resident Tina said.

People in Lynn were shocked to see people step out of their cars to fight in the middle of the road in the middle of the day. They hope this serves as a reminder to drivers to keep their cool.

“Fighting is not the answer and that’s my thing to them. They should all be ashamed of themselves,” Casey said.

“You have to be careful because you don’t know if you beep at somebody if something like that is going to happen or how much it can escalate,” Tina added.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
