Two people injured in early morning shooting on Cedar Street in Lynn

LYNN, Mass. — An investigation is underway after two people were shot in Lynn early Thursday morning.

A 21-year-old female and a 25-year-old male were both transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds. Their injuries are considered non life threatening.

A witness tells us she heard the shots ring out around 4:00 a.m.

“I heard two different shots being fired and a car sped off,” Terry Smith said. “I’ve lived here my whole life, I’ve never experienced anything like this.”

Boston 25 News caught on video a white SUV being towed away with what appeared to be a bullet hole in the side of the vehicle.

No arrests have been made at this time.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
