Police: Body recovered near French King Bridge believed to be 55-year-old Millis man

GILL, Mass. — A body recovered near the French King Bridge in Gill, Massachusetts Saturday is believed to be a 55-year-old Millis man Norfolk Police were searching for since Thursday. That body was found roughly half a mile north of the bridge by a man who was fishing at the time.

Police had been searching the Connecticut River, which the French King Bridge goes over, on Thursday and Friday before the discovery Saturday morning. That man was the subject of a Be On The Lookout issued by police. His truck was discovered abandoned in a Route 2 rest stop Thursday night around 6:30 p.m., prompting the search.

Police say no foul play is suspected in the death.
