Multiple people injured after stabbing and crash in Billerica

BILLERICA, Mass. — Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash in Billerica and an apparent stabbing that caused the accident where multiple people were injured.

Officers responded to reports of a vehicle that crashed into a telephone pole just after 8 a.m. Saturday in the area of 41 Boston Road.

Police said there were four occupants in the vehicle and the driver was suffering from multiple stab wounds. The operator was transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The three other passengers suffered non-life-threatening injuries consistent with the car accident.

Police say there could have been an altercation inside the vehicle prior to the crash.

Due to the incident and subsequent investigation, Boston Road, Alpine Street, and Lowell Street are closed.

No charges have been filed. This is an on-going investigation. There is no further information at this time.
