Two people hospitalized after serious crash in Framingham

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — A medical helicopter was called to the scene of a serious motor vehicle crash in Framingham on Wednesday night.

Framingham police say a car crashed into a telephone pole around 7:30 p.m. at Edgell Road near Brook Street. According to authorities, one man was transported via Medflight and a woman was transported by ambulance to a Boston hospital.

On Thursday morning police said the two crash victims are in critical but stable condition.

The car could be seen with serious front-end damage.

Edgell Road is currently shut down between Central Street and Frost Street. The public is being asked to avoid the area.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
