Foxboro, MA — Those looking to be part of the crowd when Kenny Chesney makes his return to Gillette Stadium for the first time in four years won’t be forced to bear the drive down Route 1. The MBTA announced Monday that it will operate a special event commuter rail train to carry concert goers from Boston’s South Station to Foxboro for the country star’s August 27 show.
According to the MBTA, the train will depart South Station at 3:05 p.m. and is scheduled to pull into the Foxboro Station at approximately 4:00 p.m. The train will also stop at the Back Bay and Dedham Corp stations and depart Foxboro 30 minutes after the end of the concert.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the South Station, North Station, and Back Bay stations or in the mTicket App.
Chesney’s August 26 and 27 shows will be the artist’s 20th and 21st shows at Gillette and the first since 2018.
