Man dies after being pulled from Duxbury pond

DUXBURY, Mass. — A man has died after he was pulled from a pond at Crocker Memorial Park in Duxbury early Monday morning.

Police received reports at 2 a.m. from a resident stating that her 19-year-old son arrived home, making statements that his father was missing.

Upon further investigation, police were able to determine that the father and son were on their way home before they were dropped off at Crocker Park by an Uber driver.

Shortly into the search, a male subject was located in the water. Duxbury Fire was able to pull the man from the water and begin performing CPR. The individual was then transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth, where he was later pronounced dead.

When police arrived on the scene, they found items belong to the son before they began their search for the father.

This incident is currently under investigation by Duxbury Police Detectives and State Police Detectives.
