Man arrested on drug charges following motor vehicle stop in Southbridge

SOUTHBRIDGE, Mass. — A man is facing charges after police say he was caught with drugs during a traffic stop in Southbridge earlier this month.

Niko T. Lindblom, 23, of Southbridge, was arrested on July 17 on charges including distribution of Class B Oxycodone, according to the Southbridge Police Department.

Detectives investigating complaints of frequent street-level distribution of narcotics in the town observed a vehicle driving away from a suspected drug deal and conducted a motor vehicle stop.

Lindblom has since faced a judge in Dudley District Court. A second person will be summoned to court at a later date.

A search of Lindblom’s vehicle yielded suspected Oxycodone pills and suspected proceeds from ongoing trafficking and narcotics sales, police said.

An investigation remains ongoing.
