MANCHESTER, N.H. — A 20-year-old Lawrence man has life-threatening injuries after a serious crash that happened in Manchester, New Hampshire, late Friday night on I-293 northbound from I-93 southbound.
The New Hampshire State Police told Boston 25 News they were first alerted to the accident at 11:23 p.m., which quickly promoted NHSP along with members of DOT and Manchester Fire and EMS to respond to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found a white 2005 Dodge Neon rolled over, down an embankment. After further investigation, troopers were able to determine the vehicle was traveling southbound on I-93 at the junction with the ramp for I-293 when the driver, Branden Duncan, 20, of Lawrence, lost control of the vehicle, which caused him to go over a guardrail and roll down the embankment several hundred feet away. Then Duncan was ejected from the vehicle.
Duncan was later transported with serious life-threatening injuries to Elliot Hospital in Manchester. A portion of the roadway was closed for approximately over an hour but has since reopened.
The crash remains under investigation at this time. If anyone knows further information regarding this accident, they can contact Trooper Timothy Repucci at Timothy.R.Repucci@dos.nh.gov or 603-223-8836.
