WEYMOUTH, Mass. — Crews from multiple South Shore towns responded to a late-night blaze in Weymouth on Wednesday.
Fire Chief Keith Stark says they received numerous 911 calls for a house fire on School Street just after midnight. Arriving companies were met with heavy flames in the back of the multi-family home, according to officials.
Several occupants were in the building at the time of the blaze but were able to get themselves out.
A second alarm was ordered and with the help of firefighters from Quincy, Hingham, and Rockland, the fire was knocked down.
One firefighter suffered a minor injury.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
