BOSTON — A Green Line train derailed at Heath Street Station on the E branch of the line, the MBTA announced Tuesday night.
That derailment prompted the branch to terminate service at Brigham Circle.
“Shortly before 8:00 p.m., one car of a slow-moving, two-car train derailed just after departing Heath Street Station. The car remained upright, and three passengers safely exited. There were no injuries,” the MBTA wrote Tuesday.
Service on the E branch between Brigham Circle and Heath Street resumed just after 10:45 p.m. Tuesday. The Heath Street stop is the last stop on the Green Line E branch.
The train had only come out a couple of hundred feet from the station before coming to a stop when the conductor realized they had gotten off the tracks.
