TAUNTON, Mass. — Firefighters battled a train car fire overnight near a railroad crossing in Massachusetts.
The fire was reported around 1 a.m. near the crossing at Fremont Street in Taunton, where emergency crews responded to flames coming from what appeared to be a freight train car.
Boston 25 News was at the scene as firefighters used a ladder truck to spray water onto the burning rail car. The extent of the damage was not immediately clear.
Officials have not yet said what sparked the fire or how long crews remained on scene.
There has also been no word on whether anyone was injured.
