SOUTHBRIDGE, Mass. — A raging fire ripped through a two-family home in Southbridge early Wednesday morning, prompting a large emergency response.
Officials say crews were called to the home at 46 Worcester Street just after midnight. When firefighters arrived, they found heavy flames burning through the roof.
The building was occupied at the time of the blaze, but the fire department said everyone inside self-evacuated.
The Southbridge Fire Department did not say how many people were inside or how many people were displaced.
The fire was contained to the home and didn’t impact a neighboring apartment complex, according to officials.
There were no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
