FOXBOROUGH, Mass — As the days get longer, parents suddenly have more hours to fill with their kids during school vacation week.
There’s no shortage of family-friendly options to fill school vacation week at Patriots Place.
Local author Shawn Peters read to families from his popular book The Unforgettable Logan Foster at Dean College Saturday. Families can return to Dean College on Monday, April 17 for a new exhibit from the Roger Williams Park Zoo - Dinosaurs Among Us. Kids and families will be able to meet and greet life-sized dinosaurs.
Shifting from dinosaurs to even more fearsome creatures - ex-boyfriends- the Mix 104.1 Street Team and Fangirl Fantast are putting on a Taylor Swift extravaganza. Swifties are invited to dress as their favorite Taylor Era for party with all her best hits and a chance to win a pair of Taylor Swift tickets to her sold-out show at Gillette Stadium.
On April 19, children can take line dancing lessons at the Six String Grill to learn how to do-si-do and grapevine. The first session will take place from 1-2 p.m before a second session from 2-3 p.m. Space is limited so get in line to get in line.
On April 20, you’re invited to join the family Madrigal for story time, a dance party and a meet-and-greet with Maribel, the star of the hit Disney film Encanto. Guests can register here.
Later that night, Bass Pro Shops Cruise Nights will return for the summer season. The free car show will be held at Bass Pro every other Thursday from April to October.
To cap off the week, the Mass Audobon will run a special Earth Day program at the Nature Trail and Ocean Spray Bog behind Bass Pro Shops. Instructors will lead guests on a nature walk into Foxboro’s boggy wetland.
Several events will also be held at the Patriots Hall of Fame.
