The widow of a U.S. Marine pilot from Leominster who was killed during a training mission in Norway is talking about her devastating loss.
Lana Reynold’s said opening up about her husband wasn’t easy, but she wanted to share Marine Captain Ross Reynolds’ story and make sure his sacrifice is not forgotten.
Lana and Ross Reynolds were married in February. On April 5, Captain Reynolds was laid to rest, with full military honors.

Lana Reynold spoke with a North Carolina television station, WCTI.
“He was so dedicated to me, to others, he was doing what he loved. He loved flying and he’s still flying right now,” said Lana Reynolds.
Lana told WCTI she still wears Capt. Reynold’s watch, which still shows the time of day in Norway.
“Words can’t describe how proud I am of him. And how much I love him because he was so caring.”
She also shared something she found in his backpack: flashcards that he had made for them to study together.
Captain Reynolds was one of four marines killed in a helicopter crash during the training exercise in Norway.

“That was his dream was to become a Marine corps pilot,” said Lana Reynolds. “And have a family. He always had interest from early on and he certainly carried that out.”
“I’m sort of have a peace, because I know I’m going to see you, Ross, again,” said Lana.
“I love you so much. I’m so proud,” said Lana.
