EVERETT, Mass. — A suspect has been taken into custody on Wednesday night after a standoff in Everett, police announced
The incident occurred just after 6:30 PM, when the Everett Police Department warned residents to avoid the area of Ferry Street amid ongoing police activity.
Police said that they were on scene due to a barricaded subject.
“We believe that the individual may be armed, dangerous and made threats to harm another person prior to police arrival,” Everett police wrote on their Facebook page.
Members of the Everett police, SWAT, and crisis negotiators were on the scene, where the situation was mediated.
