A Boston EMS ambulance was in a crash that injured five Saturday night as its crew responded to a call, according to EMS officials.
Spokesperson Caitlin McLaughlin said the ambulance did not have a patient on board when it was in the crash at the intersection of Gallivan Boulevard and Hallet Street.
Two Boston EMS members and three people who were in the other vehicle involved in the crash were taken to the hospital. All had minor injuries, according to McLaughlin.
EMS referred all further questions to the Boston Police Department.
